As we approach the upcoming school year with COVID-19 still active, we are formulating a plan to ensure successful learning regardless of any disruptions that may be caused by the virus. Graduation Ceremony Tonight! 8:30 pm at Red Devil Stadium! Don’t forget your tickets and complete the medical questionnaire on the back. Gates open at 7:30 pm.

Due to recent updates from UIL and in preparation for summer workouts all RHS facilities are closed until June 8th.
Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) is a one-time food benefit for families who lost access to free and reduce-price meals due to school closures. Eligible P-EBT families will receive application intructions from school in Late May. The P-EBT application will open the first week of June.
P-EBT food beneftis are for children who receive SNAP food benefits for March 2020 and children who are certified for free or reduced-price school meals during the 2019-2020 Texas school year. Today Governor Abbott announced public school closures in Texas thru the end of this school year. He also shared that TEA Commissioner Morath will soon be providing guidance to school districts on how we will be able to handle graduation. RISD will continue to monitor this developing situation and relay information as soon as we can. We are anxious as you are to honor our seniors!
All of us dearly miss the daily interactions with each of our students but we will continue working diligently to provide the best and highest quality instruction possible.
Please continue to keep all of our local, state and national leaders in your thoughts and prayers. They are carrying heavy loads, knowing that all decisions like those announced today impact large numbers of Texans.
