Today Governor Abbott announced public school closures in Texas thru the end of this school year. He also shared that TEA Commissioner Morath will soon be providing guidance to school districts on how we will be able to handle graduation. RISD will continue to monitor this developing situation and relay information as soon as we can. We are anxious as you are to honor our seniors!
All of us dearly miss the daily interactions with each of our students but we will continue working diligently to provide the best and highest quality instruction possible.
Please continue to keep all of our local, state and national leaders in your thoughts and prayers. They are carrying heavy loads, knowing that all decisions like those announced today impact large numbers of Texans.
Please contact Mr. Wyatt if you have any questions.

We will continue to monitor the situation surrounding the Coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. As we move for- ward, decisions will continue to be made in the next few days.
